Éolectric Enters the Solar Energy Sector with the Submission of Its First Project in Sept-Îles

Brossard (Quebec), April 2026, In partnership with the City of Sept-Îles and the Innu Community of Uashat mak Mani-Utenam (ITUM), Eolectric has submitted a proposal for an 18.5 MW AC (24.8 MW DC) solar photovoltaic power plant as part of Hydro-Québec’s A/O 2025-01 call for tenders.

This project marks Eolectric’s first venture into the solar energy sector and will contribute to the region’s energy supply while supporting the diversification of the Côte-Nord power generation portfolio.

The project’s implementation is based on a co-development model with local partners, aimed at fostering social acceptability and generating shared economic benefits for the community.
